Collie Resources

With the advent of the Lassie movies, the Collie became an extremely popular pet dog. Unfortunately, a lot of insincere breeders bred Collies for money without caring about the physical and mental state of the dogs. This gave the Collie a bad reputation since a lot of mentally unstable dogs were made available on the market. A lot of families also got a Collie without first researching how to properly care for this energetic and intelligent breed. The Collie is a working breed and it needs plenty of mental and physical exercise to stay happy and healthy. If you prefer a gentle stroll around the block, the Collie is not the ideal breed for you. Collies are clever, easy to train and can become great companions, but only if your lifestyle is suitable for the Collie. If you want to learn more about the Collie and its requirements, there are several excellent sources to be found online.
