Siberian Husky Resources

The Siberian Husky is a strong working dog from eastern Siberia. It belongs to the Spitz family and its ancestors lived in the cold and unforgiving Siberian Arctic region. During the Nome Gold Rush, dogs were imported from Siberia to Alaska where they would serve as sled dogs. A Siberian Husky is not a good choice unless you are a highly active person that can provide your dog with plenty of opportunity to work. You should also keep in mind that the Siberian Husky was bred to be a clever and independent dog that could make its own decisions, e.g. refusing to enter dangerous patches of ice. It is therefore not as eager to obey your every command as many other dog breeds. You can find more information about this energetic dog at the websites listed below.
